Shia LaBeouf

Shia Saide LaBeouf was born on June 11th, 1986. He is a Daytime Emmy Award and BAFTA-winning American actor and comedian. Shia grew up in California and became known when he stared in the Disney Channel series Even Stevens. He showed up on the big screen in 2003 in the movie Holes which was a box office success. LaBeouf was also seen in The Battle of Shaker Heights, Charlie's Angels: full throttle, Dumb & Dumberer: when Harry met Lloyd the same year. Following his lead role in The Greatest Game Ever Played (2005), film producer and director Steven Spielberg cast LaBeouf in starring roles in the 2007 films Disturbia and Transformers. Shia will of course be in Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen which is due to come out June 26th 2009. LaBeouf also worked with Spielberg in 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Eagle Eye.

LaBeouf bought his own two-bedroom house at the age of 18 and lives in Burbank California. He remains close to both his parents. LaBeouf drives a Nissan Maxima and has two bulldogs named Brando and Rex. He has said that sports are a big part of his life and that he is a film junkie. He enjoys the music of The Shins, CKY, and the hip-hop label Definitive Jux.

LaBeouf has said that he is inspired by Dustin Hoffman, Jodie Foster, Jon Voight, and John Turturro. Shia is very serious about his career and says he has made "a calculated effort to stay away from the party scene," believing that "if the industry takes you lightly because you're always partying, then they will take your work lightly as well."

LaBeouf has said that although he does not devoutly practice Judaism, he has a "personal relationship with God that happens to work within the confines of Judaism".
